About Me
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I am dedicated to helping rural Shenandoah Valley residents through virtual psychotherapy sessions. With a compassionate and holistic approach, I provide a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences. My goal is to support individuals in their journey towards healing and personal growth. I chose the name Mountain Roots as I am a native of Broadway, VA and grew up the country way of living. I am excited to offer my experience to our community!
I am experienced in working with adult clients of all ages in treating trauma, anxiety, grief, depression, life transitions, intrusive thoughts, self-esteem and relationship issues. My primary evidence based frameworks include: a Pscyho-Biological Approach to Couples Therapy; (PACT); neuropsychobiological approaches that promote brain regulation; interpersonal neurobiology, Brainspotting, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). We are wounded relationally and we heal relationally. As a professional dedicated to the field of psychotherapy I look forward to building a healing relationship to foster your overall growth and wellbeing.
